if a task is a milestone there is no start date, as expected.

however, if you change that view to edit mode and try to save, an error is thrown for any tasks that don't have a start date, which is a required field. The error states that all required fields need to be filld out.

since milestones don't have start dates this is a problem.
we heard there was a hotfix for this. Unfortunately CA help site is currently down.

has anyone else seen this and have you heard about a hotfix?

What is the proicedure in case I want to move the database to a new server while keeping active the current installation of clarity?

I have following question:

1. I commit one resource to participate to an event using calendar (whatever: resource calendar, project calendar, personal) - let say one day
Does the participation at the above event influence the availability of the resource? When rescheduling a project with task allocated to the resource above will take into account the event?

2. Is it poosible to have in a portlet the calendar (personal or project calendars) of all the resources I have access to?

I have done a XOG out of a custom object. Now we want to XOG In the same object using a different name. Is that possible? If yes, what are the changes I have to do in the xml file which I have XOGed out.

We have a custom reminder created in clarity and there was a link to this object in the homepage. But that link is missing now. We are not able to add the link through the menu manager. When we try to add a link through the menu manager> Application Menu> Custom Objects, the item doesn't appear in the list. But the item is present in the portlet page.

Has anyone faced this issue before?

Any help is highly appreciated.

We can create the cost plan shell and detail line items (ie Transaction Classes), but we cannot populate the Units, Cost, and Revenue fields because they are timesliced BLOBs.

since this is my first post I would first like to say hello to you all.

My problem is with the entity I created. I have created the entity before financially enabling any investment or resource.
Yet I created the entity after creating resouirces, groups and so on.
When I check the Departments, locations I can see they belong to the entity.
Yet, when I check with the Admin Side/ Financial Management/ Setups/ Entity, my entity does not appear in the list. I am logged in with superuser right (I have all possible rights). I have also created some partitions, all of them under the system default partition.

Can anyone help?

I have a user that reported they were unable to open a certain project in Open Workbench. When looking at the details of the project I noticed that it displayed the option to view in Microsoft Project, whereas all of our other projects say Open Workbench. So I have two questions.

1. How did the project get configured to open in MS Project instead of Open Workbench?

2. How do I change this?
